VTCT Level 3 Indian Head Massage- Starts 4th January 2023
Indian Head Massage is a great treatment to offer to clients. There’s a general mis-conception that Indian Head Massage is just a scalp massage. This treatment actually includes massage of the upper back, neck and shoulders, scalp, face, arms and hands.
Some of the benefits of Indian Head Massage include:
- muscle tension relief in the upper back, neck and shoulders
- aids the relief of migraines and tension headaches
- promotes hair growth
- aids lymphatic drainage
- can relieve insomnia and fatigue, as well as anxiety and depression
- stimulates blood flow and oxygen
Cheltenham School of Complementary Therapy and Beauty is offering the Indian Head Massage Certificate and this is suitable for complete beginners for for existing therapists.
In the course you will be taught:
- How to provide upper back, neck, shoulders, scalp, face massage, arms and hands
- How to maintain health and safety
- How to work professionally and look after clients
It will be taught over 3 days, with online theory work to complete beforehand.
Training days will run from 9:30-17:00pm on 4th, 16th and 17th January 2023.
This Level 3 course costs £425 for the 3 days face-to-face and the online theory work.
There are no pre-requisites for this course and by the end of the course you will also have been taught how to set up your treatment area, consultation techniques with clients, anatomy and physiology of the skin and health and safety procedures in the workplace.
FHT Accredited Indian head Massage Certificate
This FHT-accredited course is a qualification that has been specifically designed for qualified massage therapists to develop practical skills in how to provide the relaxing and stress-relieving treatment of Indian head massage. The course is run over 2 days face-to-face training.
Dates for the course are:
Monday 16th January 10am-4.30pm
Tuesday 17th January 10am-4.30pm
In this Indian Head Massage course you will be taught:
How to provide upper back, neck, shoulder, scalp and face massage
How to maintain health and safety
How to work professionally and look after clients
This certificate course costs £215 and upon completion you will be able to provide Indian Head Massage treatment for your clients.
25th February – Level 3 VTCT Swedish Massage
About the course:
Swedish Massage is a popular ”classic” massage involving the whole body to relieve everyday tension.
At Cheltenham School of Complementary Therapy and Beauty our Level 3 Massage qualification provides you with everything you need in order to become a professional massage therapist, either working for yourself or in a clinic, spa or alternative setting.
You will learn how to massage most areas of the body so on completion of the course you would be able to offer a full-body massage as well as back massages to clients. You will learn how to use techniques such as long strokes and kneading, that aims at relieving muscle tension and provide a relaxing experience.
Our courses combine online learning for theory elements and then face-to-face training for the practical elements. You will be given practical advice and personal feedback in a small group setting. We work with you to help you be the best you can be, giving you a good chance to succeed in your new career, or skill.

This qualification comprises of 4 units:
- Principles and and practices of complementary therapies
- Business practice for complementary therapies
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies
- Provide massage for complementary therapies
This certificate course costs £1297 and upon completion you will be able to provide Swedish Massage treatment for your clients.
