First Aid Training Courses in Cheltenham
About 8 years ago I was walking along Cheltenham High Street with my 2 children. In the doorway of a coffee shop was an elderly man, looking pale and laying on his back. It took me a little while to read the situation as the coffee shop was full of people and there were numerous people outside the shop too! I approached the man and the onlookers and asked if he was ok. There was no response! My First Aid training from my past came to me and i crouched next to the man. When the paramedics arrived I felt overwhelmed. I had actually given a person CPR! I was upset as it was quite an experience, but my young children were proud that I had tried to help a person that needed it. This experience will never leave me but I would do it all again if I found myself in a similar situation. Without First Aid training I would have felt helpless.

At Cheltenham School of Complementary Therapy & Beauty we are so pleased to be able to offer First Aid Training. Whether you want to learn first aid just for yourself or because you work somewhere who wants you to be the first aid representative, a one-day training course can answer your needs. You will learn how to provide CPR and how to use a defibrillator, amongst other things.
The Emergency First Aid at Work and the First Aid at Work qualifications are approved by the Health and Safety Executive. These courses provide employees with training needed to provide requirements of first aid in the workplace. All this is provided in our own training centre in the heart of Cheltenham.
Workplace First Aid Provision
After a workplace assessment, employers will be able to understand the training that is required in order to provide the first aid provision for their staff. Factors to be considered include the hazards and risks in the workplace, the number of employees and known health conditions in the current workforce.
At Cheltenham School of Complementary Therapy & Beauty we offer both the Emergency First Aid at Work and the First Aid at Work courses, both of which are accredited by VTCT (Vocational Training and Charitable Trust). These First Aid courses also include training in the safe use of a defibrillator.
These qualifications are valid for 3 years.
